Many people believe LinkedIn is just used as social media for the workforce, but what marketers are starting to realize is there is a lot of potential for people to promote their businesses, too. With company profiles and frequent updates, you make sure customers stay updated and keep your business in mind, even on a different social media platform as LinkedIn.

LinkedIn has proven to be one of the most effective social marketing tools to use for businesses because its features set it apart from Facebook and Twitter. Utilizing these features will ensure a solid presence for your business on LinkedIn.

1. Blog RSS Feed

This is a simple way to promote your business’ content in order to populate your company page. To make this useful for your company be sure to update it regularly so the content is fresh.

2. News Module

This is another tool that is important to enable. This pulls any new mentions that your company may find on the web. This is found on the right hand column of the overview tag on your company page. This is a great way to highlight media coverage and gives your page and company further validation.

3. Posting Status Updates

Posting updates on LinkedIn will ensure users receive frequent updates about your company. These updates can also be shared throughout other social media sites, and including it on LinkedIn will get the message out there even better and ensure people have seen it. Keeping a frequently updated and engaging page is the best way to organically attract new followers and expand your LinkedIn reach.

4. Product and Services

This feature allows you to create click-able banner images that are included in your update offerings of product and services. These images can be call-to-actions regarding projects and/services your business may offer. By also utilizing this feature you can provide connection to your other social media pages in order to promote an interactive experience for your business.
